What we do

Control room services for live television and streaming

simpliqra provides the people and the equipment behind a live show: vision mixing, streaming, replay, graphics, cueing and complete control room builds. We work with concerts, festivals and stage productions, and we scale the crew to the size of the event.

  1. Multi-camera vision mixing

Experienced vision mixers cut live multi-camera shows for concerts, festivals and stage events.

  2. Live streaming production

We take a live event from the stage to online audiences with encoding, graphics and monitoring.

  3. Control room design and fit-out

We plan and install compact control rooms and production decks to suit your venue or studio.

  4. Outside broadcast crewing

Technical crews for temporary control rooms at festivals, parties and large stage productions.

  5. Replay and graphics operation

Operators for instant replay, lower-third graphics and on-screen information during live shows.

  6. Production management and cueing

Show callers and producers who keep cameras, sound and stage cues running to the script.

Tell us the venue, the number of cameras and the running order, and we will talk through which services fit. Scope is agreed in writing before anything is booked.

How we work

What keeps a live production steady

A live show leaves no room for second takes, so the way a crew behaves matters as much as the kit. Our working habits come from years in temporary control rooms and venue galleries, where small decisions made early prevent loud problems later.

  1. Calm under pressure

Live work rarely goes exactly to plan, and a tense gallery makes poor cuts. Our operators stay level when a camera drops out or a cue moves, talk problems through on the intercom in short, plain sentences, and keep the programme output clean while the fault is dealt with.

  2. Clear communication

Everyone on a production needs to know the running order, the camera plan and who calls what. We send a clear written plan before the day, hold a short briefing at the venue, and keep intercom talk brief and specific so camera operators, sound and stage managers are never guessing.

  3. Reliable delivery

Organisers rely on us arriving prepared and delivering the show as agreed. Our production manager plans crews, schedules and kit lists in advance, equipment is tested before it leaves Ipswich, and a backup path is built into the signal chain wherever the event allows.

Why organisers choose us

Practical support from planning to the final cut

From the first call to the last camera cable, we aim to make live production simpler for the people running the event. These are the things clients tend to notice first.

  • Crews sized to the event

We staff each job to suit the show, from a small team for a single-stage gig to a full gallery crew for a multi-camera festival day.

  • On time at the venue

Hannah plans schedules, load-in and kit lists ahead of time so the control room is built and tested well before doors open.

  • Equipment we know well

Our switchers, encoders and monitoring are kit we operate every week, which means faster setup and fewer surprises during the show.

Practical support from planning to the final cut
  • Stage to online audience

Callum builds and watches the streaming chain, so viewers at home receive a stable picture with graphics that match the live feed.

  • Clear contact before and after

You speak to the people doing the work. Questions about access, power or the running order get a direct answer, not a ticket.

  • Control rooms that fit

When a venue needs a permanent deck, Daniel designs a compact control room around your space, your staff and your budget.

Questions before you book

Organisers usually ask the same practical things first. If your question is not covered here, send it through the contact page and we will reply directly.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Ipswich and work mainly across the East of England, including Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. For larger productions we will consider travelling further. Tell us where the event is and we will confirm whether it suits our crew and schedule.

How early should we get in touch?

As early as you can, particularly for festivals and summer weekends when crews are in demand. Even a rough date and venue lets us hold a conversation about cameras and crew. Smaller events can sometimes be arranged at shorter notice, depending on availability.

Do you supply the cameras as well as the operators?

We provide the control room side: vision mixing, streaming, replay, graphics and cueing, along with the equipment those need. Camera supply and camera operators can be discussed when we scope the job. We will say clearly what is included in the written quotation.

Can you work with our own production team?

Yes. Many clients bring their own director, sound team or stage management, and we fit around them. We agree who calls the show, how the intercom is arranged and who signs off the running order before the day, so responsibilities are clear.

What do you need to know about the venue?

Useful details include the room layout, power supply, where cameras will sit, cable routes and any internet connection for streaming. A site visit or a set of photographs helps us plan. If something is unknown, we will list it as a question to settle before the event.

Do you stream events as well as broadcast them?

Yes. Our streaming service covers encoding, graphics and monitoring, taking the programme feed from the control room to your chosen online platform. We check upload capacity at the venue beforehand and agree how problems would be handled during the stream.

How does ordering and payment work?

You send an enquiry through the contact page, and we reply with a written quotation or confirmation. After the job we send an invoice, payable by bank transfer. Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which is available on the site.

Can you design a permanent control room for our venue?

We plan and install compact control rooms and production decks for venues and studios. Daniel reviews the space, the shows you stage and the people who will operate it, then proposes a layout and equipment list for you to consider before any work begins.
